True Life Confessions of a Travel Agent

Food Glorious Food!

Its 1:00pm, you walk through the terminal and walk eagerly across the bridge to board the ship. Immediately you are greeted by happy workers who ask if they can take your picture, “Smile Pretty”. As you continue to walk through the entrance of the ship to the Atrium where Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber embrace you with a welcome hug and photo op! You then are ushered by your rumbling belly and keen sense of smell to the Lido deck where there is a spread of food that is so beautiful it’s almost like you can hear a harmonious melody calling you to come and partake of the gluttonous amount of food in front of your child like face. You immediately dig in your tongue is overwhelmed with the miraculous spices and herbs that are enticing it to continue to stuff more food in so that the taste sensation may continue! This is only the beginning, at night you are welcomed into the fine dinning rooms where you have more than one person waiting on you hand and foot bringing you whatever you like from the menu, the entire menu if you so desire! Every morning you are awakened by a beautiful medley of bagels, toast, pastries, coffee, cereal, and fruit! Lunch is the option of buffet, fine dinning, or a paradise lunch served in between your sun splashed nap and snorkeling. A fond childhood memory comes to mind amidst all the eating, it’s the song from “Oliver” if you know it sing along, “Food, glorious food! Hot sausage and mustard! While we're in the mood Cold jelly and custard! Pease pudding and saveloys! What next is the question? Rich gentlemen have it, boys: In-di-gestion! Food, glorious food! We're anxious to try it. Three banquets a day our favourite diet! Just picture a great big steak Fried roasted or stewed. Oh, food, Wonderful food Marvellous food, Glorious food.

Blessings,
McKenzie
