The Joy of Christmas
Have you ever heard a voice so beautiful it takes your breath away? Have you ever related so much with a movie that makes you want to rise up and fight for justice? Or have you ever seen a sunset so beautiful you forget to blink? How about going to fast your heart feels like it’s going to explode? Or was so frustrated and overwhelmed that you can do nothing but just lay on the floor? These are just some of the things I love about our life here on earth, these gifts that we can look back on and cherish them forever. Working day in and day out, in the rat race of making money and yet trying to find some time to enjoy these moments that precious gifts; even the moments you feel like you can’t go on, and then some how you do. For some reason around Christmas time, I’m reminded of how it felt to be a kid. For fear to be some emotion you have no concept of, and the largest responsibility in life is to take out the trash or walk the dog, when the world somehow was purer and strangers were simply friends that didn’t know your name yet. I hope that this Christmas we can capture that childish spirit that says it’s ok to have a celebration dance when you win a game, or demanding marsh mellows in your hot chocolate, or even going to the mall and getting a picture with Santa, or playing with remote control trains or cars. The sky is the limit, access your inner child and tell us what your favorite childhood memory is it can be of Christmas or any time of the year! If you need help coming up with childish ideas, I recommend watching Elf, where candy is the only food group and embarrassment is an unknown emotion! So get out there, dance when your favorite song is played in the mall and sing loud even if you are tone def!
