“In Remembrance”
Today I’d like to take a minute to remember.
Remember when you were 5 and your biggest worry was what snack was going to be that day, gold fish or pretzels! How about when you were 13 and life revolved around sleepovers and soccer games, or when you finally turned 16 and you would drive around town for hours just because you could (legally). I love memories, they are what inspire my future, to do better, laugh longer, love more, and stop just to take in a warm breeze. It’s remembering the times that you thought your world was coming to an end, and yet somehow you made it through. Remembering how we made it through is what makes us stronger, stronger to face another day, stronger to possibly reach out and help someone who is going through the same world shaking situation that you yourself already went through and came out victorious. Maybe today you need to remember how it felt to over come a life long fear, or the first time you locked eyes with your soul mate, or the first time you held your child and their tiny hand gripped your finger as though to grip your very heart! I do not know what it is that you need to be reminded of today, but look back and you might see that your past can hold answers to your future! And remember, people hardly regret the things they failed at, they regret most of all the things they never tried.
{Quote of the Week :} Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed - else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.
~Dwight D. Eisenhower
