Q.How long have you worked with Premier and what do you think the two organizations have in common?
A. I’ve worked with Premier about 7 years now and they’re one of my favorite Promoters to work with. I think Premier’s commitment to bring top Christian Artists in concert as well as showcase new upcoming artists is similar to ours. Premier is dedicated to bringing shows to cities of all sizes which allows more K-LOVE listeners to see their favorite artist in concert.
Q. What are some exciting things going on at the station right now?
A. K-LOVE and Premier Productions are working together to promote the Third Day/David Crowder concert in Memphis on March 3rd. K-LOVE is doing a “Sticker Stop” at Family Christian Store on Feb. 25th and is giving our listeners the opportunity to Win tickets to see Third Day/David Crowder.
Q. Winter Jam was recently in Memphis. How was the concert?
A. Winter Jam came to Memphis January 15th and we had a full house at the Desoto Civic Center in Southaven, a suburb near Memphis. This was one of the best concerts we’ve had in a long time, great lineup of artists, $10.00 admission, everyone loved it!
Q. You've recently had Pro Bowler J.D. Hill on Feb. 5th, Chris Tomlin stopped by on his Indescribable Tour on Feb. 9th, plus you have a couple of Valentine's Day children's events coming up! Wow. How do you gear up for so much at once?
A. J.D. Hill came for Super Bowl Weekend to First Assembly. He's a dynamic speaker and athlete too. Chris Tomlin is a favorite of K-LOVE listeners. Great volunteers are the way I'm able to do so much at once!!
Q. What is your outreach – any idea how many listeners you have?
A. Our outreach across the Mid-South includes west Tennessee (Memphis), northern Mississippi, and eastern Arkansas! Two signals really help us reach out across this region. I don’t have an actual listener count, but know based on the events we do, it’s a large number!
Q. What do you think makes your radio station unique and a favorite among listeners?
A. The Positive and Encouraging message of K-LOVE, our On-Air Talents, the Listener-Supported, and a non-commercial format!
Q. What role do you think music, in general, plays in people's lives?
A. Music is a huge influence on people! The music played on K-LOVE helps encourage believers throughout the week in between services. K-LOVE also touches thousands of non-believers who don’t attend church. Music has a message that touches people in a special way. Music can bring the listener into an attitude of worship.

With an atmosphere of fun and a spirit of generosity, the auction proved once again that Christians have more reason to give than anyone else. All the proceeds from the K-LOVE fund-raiser benefit the Premier Foundation, an organization that raises money and gives it back to Kingdom work, including the work of Christian Blind Mission International and other nonprofit, Christian-based groups.
The mission of the foundation is “to continue making a difference for Christ long after we are gone,” said founders Gary Gentry and Roy Morgan. The Premier Foundation is a 501C (3) – federally tax-exempt foundation that awards grants to other groups.
