Q. Any idea how many songs you have written?
A. Since then? Well, I'm pretty prolific as a writer. I try to write every day. I'd say I've written like 700-800 songs. A better question would be to ask me how many of them are good...
Q. What do you think it takes to be a good song-writer?
A. I think it's like any talent or gift that God gives to someone. When I was a kid, I used to hate studying for tests. Then, on the morning of the test, I'd be praying so hard that God would help me pass! You can't not prepare, and then ask God to bless what you do. So, I take my writing very seriously, and try my best to develop the gifts that God has given me.
Q. What did you want to be when you were growing up? What was your dream?
A. I wanted to be a baseball player - 1st basemen for the Chicago Cubs, to be exact.
Q. What ever happened to that dream?
A. I've got a new dream now. After the dreams of playing baseball faded, God put a new dream in my heart to write songs, and reach people through music, so that's the dream I'm living now.
Q. Were you surprised by the popularity of your newest album, "History"?
A. I'm always surprised when people like my music, mostly because I'm my toughest critic. But I really believe in these new songs, and more importantly I believe in the message that these songs convey that our lives are History in the making!
Q. What's your favorite song from the album and why?
A. The song "The Last Ones" is one of my favorites, just because it tells the story of a girl named Taylor, who has truly impacted my life. She's a special needs child who truly is making History in this life!
Q. What are you looking forward to about the Welcome Back concert at MS College in Clinton, MS?
A. Can't wait to jump on stage and have a great time with everybody in Clinton!
Q. What do you and Hawk Nelson have in common?
A. I am a huge Hawk Nelson Fan! We used to be neighbors, sort of, and one time they came over and helped me move some furniture into my house! So, I don't know what we have in common, but they're good friends. I'd take a bullet for them...
Q. Anything else you'd like to say?
A. I'm excited for the show in Clinton, and that's all I have to say!

Sargent says she feels right at home at Premier and is excited about her future there. Even in the short month she has been employed at Premier she sees a difference in the company that is eternal.
“I believe Premier has been a successful company because of the values that the owners Gary (Gentry) and Roy (Morgan) have put in place - always placing God first in everything that they do,” she said. “I have always believed that when you allow God to be in control of your life you won’t fail.
