HIGH POINT, N.C. – July 16, 2010 – Premier Christian Cruises, one of the nation’s premier cruise companies, takes to dry land this weekend as presenting sponsor of the K-LOVE #81 car driven by Michael McDowell in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Gateway International Raceway in St. Louis, Mo., Saturday July 17.
McDowell drove the K-LOVE #81 car for the first time earlier this month, and the upcoming second race for the car will now include Premier Christian Cruises’ logo emblazoned on the car with McDowell’s other partners.

According to owner Roy Morgan, Premier Christian Cruises’ new sponsorship emerged from a relationship with Lonnie Clouse, a Nationwide NASCAR chaplain on staff with MRO (Motor Racing Outreach), and gained momentum after McDowell travelled on Premier’s K-LOVE Friends and Family Music Cruise.
25 year-old Glendale, Ariz. native McDowell has emerged as one of NASCAR’s top young racers and is in the middle of his sophomore campaign in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
McDowell will race the K-LOVE #81 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series races in prime time at Gateway International Raceway near St. Louis on Saturday night, July 17, and ESPN2 will have a live telecast in high definition. NASCAR Countdown airs at 7 p.m. ET, while the race telecast starts at 8 p.m. with the green flag at 8:15 p.m. ESPN2 is the home of the series all season.
The K-LOVE #81 car will make additional races this summer in Indianapolis and several other markets. NASCAR enjoys the support of the most brand-loyal fans in all sports, and the Nationwide Series is watched by between 1.5 and 2 million viewers for each race and is attended by nearly three million race car fans annually.
