Question: What activities will be available aboard the ship?
Answer: Too many to mention in this short space! The beauty of the K-LOVE Friends & Family Music Cruise is that you can do as little or as much as you want to do. In addition to the typical Carnival Cruise activities and amenities, there will be nightly concerts, morning devotions, teen activities, comedy acts, and autograph sessions.
Question: Will there be a Concert Schedule available for the Cruise?
Answer: Yes. You will receive a copy of the official “Cruise News” newspaper in the Port Terminal before we embark. This will give you a list of all the concerts for the week.
Question: When is the appropriate time to ask for an autograph?
Answer: There will be scheduled Artist Meet & Greets. This will be the appropriate time to get an autograph. Remember that our guest artists and speakers are on vacation too. We want to respect their personal time with their families as well, and therefore, we ask that passengers ONLY approach an artist for an autograph during this official artist signing time.
Question: How will I know about the activities on board the ship?
Answer: Each evening a more detailed schedule of the next day’s activities and concert schedule will be placed in your cabin by your steward. It is called the “Carnival Capers.” The Capers will keep you informed of times, locations, and other pertinent details of activities happening onboard the K-LOVE Friends & Family Music Cruise.
Question: Will artists’ and speakers’ merchandise be available for sale on the Cruise?
Answer: YES! There will be a Premier Store on board The K-LOVE Friends & Family Music Cruise. The store will have CDs, books, Cruise t-shirts, caps, and other souvenirs. Question: Will the ship’s casino and bars be open during the Cruise?
Answer: The ship operates a casino, bars, and stores (formality shops, hair salon, spa, and gift shop) on the ship. These entities are operated by the cruise lines or outside vendors contracted by the cruise lines. K-LOVE Friends & Family Music Cruise, Premier Christian Cruises and its affiliates do not endorse any particular entity. Non-alcoholic and soft drink beverages will be available throughout the ship during its sailing.
Question: What about shore excursions in Key West & Calica, Mexico?
Answer: You will be able to choose from a variety of shore excursions in both of our beautiful ports of call! These excursions are optional. You may choose to explore the ports on your own. You may register for any shore excursion at the Shore Excursion Desk at your earliest convenience after boarding the ship. You may also register for a shore excursion online closer to the time of departure.
Question: What about minor guests?
Answer: Infants must be at least 4 months old (on embarkation day) to be eligible to travel.
Adults aged twenty-one or older may sail. The Cruise Line shall refuse boarding to any Guest under the age of twenty-one unless:
- the Guest is traveling in the same stateroom with an individual twenty-five years or older;
- traveling in the same stateroom with their spouse; or
- traveling with a parent or guardian in an accompanying stateroom.
A married minor couple must have proof of marriage at embarkation or they will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund of the cruise fare (if applicable) will be issued.
Guest ages will be verified at embarkation. Guests not conforming to this policy will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund of the cruise fare (if applicable) will be issued.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: If you are 25 years or older and will be sharing a cabin with a minor (under 21 years of age), who does not have a parent or legal guardian traveling on the cruise, please contact Premier Christian Cruises at 1-800-889-5265 as soon as possible regarding this special situation.
Question: What about towels?
Answer: Towels are supplied for each guest in your stateroom. You must return the towels to your stateroom after each use. Failure to return the towel to your stateroom will result in a fine charged to your Sail & Sign card.
Question: Will I get seasick?
Answer: Seasickness is very rare on ships as large as ours. All our ships are equipped with stabilizers which are designed to keep them smooth and steady in the water. If you should feel queasy, medicine is available from your cabin steward, the Information Desk or from the ship’s doctor.
Question: Is there a medical staff on board?
Answer: Yes, a qualified physician and nurse from our medical staff are on call 24 hours a day. Infirmary hours for medical examinations can be found in your Carnival Capers. A professional fee will be charged. If you should contract a contagious disease, or even suspect a contagious disease, it is compulsory that you report it to the ship's doctor for the safety of everyone on board. If you are taking any prescribed medication and/or want the medical staff to be aware of any special needs, please contact our infirmary. This will ensure they will be prepared should you need assistance. Our doctors are independent contractors.
Question: What about my medications?
Answer: Please carry your required medication in your pocket or purse so that it will be available when needed. Checked luggage may not be accessible at all times. If you're using any prescription drugs, vitamins or other medication on a regular basis, you should bring an adequate supply with you since these may not be readily available either aboard ship or in our ports of call. Commonly used over-the-counter medications may be purchased at the office of the ship's doctor.
Question: What about electrical appliances?
Answer: Bring them with you by all means. Aboard all the "Fun Ships" the current in the staterooms is 110 volts AC and is capable of handling all normal small appliances such as electric razors, hair dryers and hot curlers. However, some appliances may require use of an adapter.
Question: Where is the lost and found?
Answer: The Lost and Found is located at the Information Desk. If you've lost anything, you should report the item to the Information Desk and ask if it has been returned yet. If you find anything, please turn it in there. After the ship returns to your port of origin, all found and unclaimed articles will be sent to the company headquarters where they can be claimed.
Question: What do I do with my valuables?
Answer: We're sure you'll want to bring your camera, jewelry and other valuable items with you on your cruise. However, since the ship cannot accept responsibility for any articles left in the stateroom, public areas or packed in your luggage, we suggest the use of a safety deposit box or cabin safe. For your convenience and protection, safety deposit boxes are available at the Information Desk.
Question: Can I bring a radio on board?
Answer: Yes. You are welcome to bring radios, iPods, etc. for your private enjoyment. However, for the comfort of other guests, we request that headphones or ear pieces be used in public areas.
Question: What should I pack?
Answer: Casual attire is the order of the day, both on board and ashore. For one evening, formal or church attire is suggested. The dress code for other evenings can be semi-formal to casual resort wear. Note: Shorts and tank tops are not permitted in the dining room area during dinner.
Question: Can I make and receive telephone calls?
Answer: You may direct dial your family and friends via satellite from the comfort of your stateroom at any time during your cruise. You may also use the ship’s Radio Room any time the ship is at sea. Additional information, instructions and charged are found in the ship’s directory in your stateroom. Please note that since communications at sea are via satellite, guests cannot use calling cards or credit cards, nor dial collect. The U.S. government has passed a bill in which a provision allows for a delay in the previously announced deadline date. That rule applies to passengers traveling from the U.S. to Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. This new deadline now gives cruise travelers until June 1, 2009 to get a passport.
This new provision -- the delay -- applies only to sea travelers. Those flying to Mexico, Canada, Bermuda and the Caribbean still have to get a passport, as of January 2007.
According to the U.S. Department of State:
"U.S. citizens are encouraged to show a U.S. passport. If they do not have a passport, they should be prepared to provide a government-issued photo ID (e.g. Driver's License) and proof of U.S. citizenship such as a U.S. birth certificate, naturalization certificate, or U.S. passport."
