The Girl’s Get-A-Way offers an extended weekend retreat – from Thursday to Monday – just before the holidays come crashing in. It’s a great time to get away from the workaday world and relax into a new routine over the next 5 days and 4 nights!
Here’s what a “typical” day could be on your next Girl’s Get-A-Way Cruise:
- Friday (Our Fun Day at Sea!)
- 6 a.m. Wake up early! Head to the gym on the Verandah Deck and continue my exercise program. Watch the sunrise while walking on the treadmill. Take a dip in the heated whirlpool before heading back to cabin to get ready for the day.
- 8 a.m. Meet friends at the Wharf Bar & Grill for breakfast. Can’t wait to try a made-to-order omelet, hash browns and ripe cantaloupe.
- 9 a.m. Walk to Americana Lounge for Morning Worship with Michael O'Brien.
- 10:30 a.m. Sit in on a session with AA Flight 11 widow Cheryl McGuinness or MomTime Founder Lisa Whelchel, while my daughter heads to Teen Time.
- Noon: Lunchtime – I think I’ll have a hand-tossed pizza and fresh-cut salad in the Pizzeria. Save room for a cone of chocolate/vanilla swirled, soft-serve ice cream!
- 1:30 p.m. Go to the Game Show with the guest artists and speakers. Put my name in the hat and maybe I’ll get to play!
- 2 p.m. Go to the Christian Bookstore and buy Karen Kingsbury’s latest book. Buy GGA souvenirs and T-shirts for everyone. Browse for gifts in ship’s Galleria Shopping Mall.
- 3:00 p.m. Take a nap in a cozy lounge chair on the Lido Deck with the sea as my backdrop.
- 4 p.m. Get manicure and my “Up-Do” hairdo at the Holiday Beauty Salon. Get dressed for concert and dinner!
- 5:45 p.m. Go the Point of Grace concert and hear Gary Smalley speak about relationships.
- 8 p.m. Late Dining in The Four Winds Dining Room. I think I’ll try the lobster tails tonight!
- 10 p.m. Head to the Americana Lounge for a concert with Richie McDonald of Lonestar. I've always wanted to hear him sing "I'm Already There" in person!
- 11 p.m. Wind down with my new book and watch the moonlight over the ocean for a while on the Patio of the Lido Deck!
- Midnight: Dream about tomorrow! Cozumel here we come!
